eDG Becomes a Community Site

The eDG Website is nearing another milestone. In a past meeting, we polled members to learn what improvements could make The eDG more useful. All present expressed interest in having a more interactive site. An April eDG Meeting for has not been planned so that we could move closer to launching an improved eDG site. The new eDG is a PHP portal-driven site with more interactive features.

Beginning April 21, this page, http://edg.utah.gov/portal_forward.html, will forward to the beta release of the interactive eDG site. All content from the old site will be moved over to the new site, and will still be available.

You'll find the following new services ... and more:

  • An online interactive forum where developers can create threads for asking questions and getting answers from other State developers.
  • User contribution where subscribers can add content and collaborate with other subscribers.
  • Online polls where developers learn what tools and methods other developers are using.

The eDG group hopes to hear from you about how the eDG can improve. After reviewing the beta release, please send feedback in the form of questions, suggestions, and comments to The eDG – edg@utah.gov.

The purpose of the Enterprise Developer Group and the eDG Web site is to promote enterprise Web development methods, tools and best practices.

Subscribe to and post public comments to the eDG mailing list.
